High Protein Coconut Greek Yogurt

High Protein Coconut Greek Yogurt

Back with another Greek yogurt hack because we are deep in our Greek yogurt era over here. Plain Greek is a staple in our fridge — but I’ll be honest, the flavored options in Canada leave a lot to be desired (we see you, USA). So I started creating my own blends at home, and this sweet, creamy coconut version has been a hit.

All you need is plain Greek yogurt (full-fat is my preference), a dash of organic coconut flavoring, and a sprinkle of unsweetened coconut flakes for texture. It turns into a high-protein, healthy fat–rich snack or breakfast that feels like a treat. We eat this on repeat with fresh fruit, in yogurt bowls, and as quick, make-ahead parfaits layered with oats or chia pudding.

Coconut not only tastes amazing but offers up a few nutritional wins too — it’s rich in medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) which may support energy and brain function, and also brings a bit of fibre and iron into the mix. I go into more of that here.

For the ultimate breakfast upgrade, top this yogurt with my Raspberry Chia Seed Jam. The combo of sweet-tart berries, creamy coconut, and protein-rich yogurt is chef’s kiss. Add some seeds or nuts for crunch and you’ve got a breakfast that holds you through the morning.

Whether you’re building a parfait, scooping it into a bowl with fruit, or using it as a base for smoothies, this is a great way to stay on track with high-protein eating — without getting bored.
