Raspberry Iced Tea

Raspberry Iced Tea

This raspberry iced tea is my summer go-to when I want something fun, fruity, and totally alcohol-free. Made with freeze-dried raspberries, lemon, and carbonated water, it’s sweetened gently with maple syrup instead of refined sugar — no sticky syrups or sugary mixers here. It’s fizzy, fresh, and feels like a treat, whether you’re sitting on a patio or prepping snacks for friends. I especially love pairing it with something like my hemp seed hummus for a simple, satisfying appetizer spread that doesn’t derail your wellness goals.

In recent years, there’s been a growing shift around alcohol and longevity. Many people used to consider red wine a pillar of healthy living — the “French paradox” and all — but updated research and revised health guidelines are painting a different picture. Some health organizations, including Canada’s own CCSA, now recommend no more than two drinks per week for low-risk consumption. The evidence is clear: cutting back on alcohol is one of the most impactful choices you can make for long-term health and brain function. And luckily, today’s mocktails and alcohol-free beverages are more exciting and intentional than ever.

This raspberry iced tea is the kind of drink that makes moderation feel easy. It’s sweet-tart, naturally coloured, and sparkling without being overly bubbly. The freeze-dried raspberries give it a beautiful hue and a strong berry flavour without needing artificial anything. Plus, it’s easy to batch — just make a big jar of the maple raspberry simple syrup and mix with lemon and sparkling water when you’re ready to serve. Whether you’re hosting a summer gathering or just winding down after a hot day, this one’s a cool, feel-good alternative that doesn’t sacrifice flavour.
