Warm Cinnamon Cashew Milk

Warm Cinnamon Cashew Milk

This warm protein cinnamon cashew milk has become my winter ritual — comforting, nourishing, and perfect for sipping from a thermal cup while walking my border terrier, Winnie, through the snow-covered streets of Montreal. The base recipe comes from one of my favorite food bloggers, Olivia Adriance, who makes the dreamiest homemade cashew milk. I took her cozy classic and gave it a little protein-rich twist: a scoop of collagen, a drizzle of maple syrup, and a generous pinch of cinnamon.

I love this drink because it’s simple, soothing, and packed with feel-good ingredients. Collagen adds about 10 grams of protein and supports healthy skin, joints, and hair (Healthline). Cinnamon doesn’t just make it smell amazing — it may help regulate blood sugar and reduce inflammation. And since cashew milk is naturally plant-based and dairy-free, it’s a great option for anyone looking to warm up without the heaviness of cream.

This was my go-to drink during one of the snowiest Montreal winters in decades — seriously, it was the biggest snowfall since the 1940s. Even when we were snowed in, we still bundled up, headed outside, and made the most of it. And more often than not, this warm cinnamon cashew milk was in hand, keeping me toasty and energized on long winter walks. I also love pairing it with something cozy and flavorful, like a bowl of coconut chickpea curry, for a nourishing plant-based evening meal that feels indulgent but supports a longevity-focused lifestyle.

Whether you’re winding down at night or heading out into the cold, this creamy winter drink is like a weighted blanket in a mug — comforting, cozy, and just the right amount of sweet.
